The s First Therapy Appointment - 1769 Words

Cole pressed the snooze button on his alarm clock and debated calling in for work. His first therapy appointment was tomorrow, and he was feeling the Monday morning blues. It was so cold and gloomy outside. He had to pull himself together for the office. The last thing he needed was to appear unprofessional in front of his colleagues. After throwing water on his face and brushing his teeth, he knew he needed coffee to get through the day. He blew a sigh of relief when he didn t see Lucy sitting at their usual table. His smile faded, and he felt a pang of sadness when he saw the woman he had been longing for standing in line waiting to order. Jordyn wasn t alone, and she had a smile plastered to her face. She was more beautiful than when she walked away from him. He stared at her for a second and took in her knee length leather boots and cashmere coat. As if she could sense him coming in the cafe, she looked in his direction. His blue eyes held her brown ones for a long second before she looked away and returned her attention to her companion. She was probably repulsed by the sight of him. He was unshaven and quite disheveled. Coffee was not going to make his day better.
